In a class I took early in my education our professor told us “The number one skill you need to be a successful photographer is to learn to talk to strangers” His lecture was enlightening and I’ve carried it with me thought my career. However, the biggest takeaway from that class was the assignment he gave us. We were to photograph 100 strangers in 100 days. 10 years later and I’m still collecting strangers. It’s opened me up to so many amazing people and their stories. They bless me when they allow me to share their photos and stories. I’m often stunned by the openness of those around me. If I run into you on the street, thank you.
